7pm: Amre Leon Dana (American Traditional Folk)

Nationally acclaimed folk musician, educator, and multi-instrumentalist Amre Leon Dana will create beautiful tapestries of sound with folk music from across North America, including bluegrass and the literal sounds of the Appalachian mountains.

8:30pm: Nava Dance Collective with Miriam Peretz (Sacred Dance)

Nava Dance Collective is an international community of dancers devoted to cross-cultural dialogue and artistic collaboration through traditional, sacred, and ethno-contemporary dance forms. Under the direction of Miriam Peretz, dancers from diverse cultural backgrounds collaborate in the creation of meaningful projects and performances. Tonight they will be performing Persian centric choreography in honor of Nowruz, Persian New Year/Spring Equinox, including their signature "Dance of Unity," a sacred circle dance prayer for peace and unity.

9pm: La Zuli & Special Guests (North African/Spanish/Balkan)

La Zuli combines the virtuosic talents of violinist Briana Di Mara and guitarist Anis Sehiri. The music they create is influenced by folk genres from Spain to North Africa to the Balkans and beyond. They use live looping to create many layers of unique sound.

7pm: Enrique Ugalde (Tuvan Throat Singing)

Enrique Ugalde is currently the most decorated non-Tuvan throat singer in the world, winning 3rd Laureate at the 5th International Throat Singing Symposium in Kyzyl Tuva in 2008, 2nd Laureate at the Tuvan National Kargyraa Competition in 2014 and awarded “Great Innovator of the Art of Kargyraa” at the Tuvan National Competition in 2016 and winning “Best Performance of Kargyraa” in the 2019 “Khöömei in the Center of Asia” Festival. He has had extensive training in various styles of Tuvan throat singing including; Khoomei, Kargyraa, Sygyt, Borbangnadyr, Chylandyk and has created his own unique style known as “Soriah style”. He’s studied and performed with Tuvan masters such as, Aldyn-Ool Sevek, Monguun-ool Ondar, Aldar Tamdyn, Igor Koshkendey, Zhenya Oyuun, Ouidupaa and Nachyn Chodu.

8:30pm: Arrington de Dionyso (Folk Fusion)

Arrington de Dionyso integrates ancient soundmaking techniques with trans-modernist inquiries into the nature of consciousness. His propulsive improvisations utilize voice, bass clarinet, and rare flutes as multiphonic tools in the navigation of liminal spaces between shamanic seance and rock and roll ecstasy. Iconoclastic improvisations in the spiritual search for primordially potent universalities.

9pm: Buena Onda Tango Ensemble (Argentian Tango)

Sumi Lee (piano) and Basma Edrees (violin) will be presenting traditional and contemporary Argentine tango music with guest singer Teresa Tam.

This month our after-party is in the gorgeous Congregation Sherith Israel, which is a short drive or 20 minute walk away.

Soriah, Arrington De Dionyso, and Nava Dance Collective will be providing the music, dance, and ritual.
