Terms of Service

Last updated: June 10, 2026

Welcome to Peace Mob. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Tea Tribe LLC (“Peace Mob,” “we,” “us”), which operates the platform at peacemob.org and its related apps. By using the platform, creating an account, hosting a gathering, or attending one you find through Peace Mob, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the platform.

Please read these Terms carefully. They include an assumption of risk, a release and waiver of liability, a limitation of our liability, and an agreement to resolve disputes by individual arbitration (with a class-action waiver and a 30-day opt-out). These affect your legal rights.

What Peace Mob is

Peace Mob is a platform that helps people find and host free, public gatherings for inner peace and interpersonal harmony. Peace Mob is not the organizer of any gathering and is not present at any gathering. Hosts independently organize their own gatherings; we provide the listing and communication infrastructure. We are not a party to any interaction, agreement, or gathering between users, and hosts are not our employees, agents, partners, or representatives.

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Peace Mob, and at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to apply to host a gathering. By using the platform you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.

You may browse gatherings without an account. To RSVP, message members, or host, you'll need to sign up. You are responsible for your account and for everything that happens under it. Keep your login credentials secure, don't share your account, and let us know promptly if you believe it has been compromised.

Using the platform

You agree to use the platform only for its intended purpose: organizing and attending peaceful, public gatherings. You agree not to use the platform to harass, deceive, endanger, or harm other people, to impersonate anyone, to post false or misleading gatherings, to collect other users' information, to interfere with or attempt to breach the platform's security, or to violate any law or the rights of others.

Hosting gatherings

If you host, you do so as an independent organizer, on your own behalf and at your own risk. You are solely responsible for your gatherings — including choosing a safe, publicly accessible space, obtaining any permits or permissions required by your venue or local authorities, complying with all applicable laws, and leaving the space as you found it. By posting a gathering, you confirm you will do all of these things and that you have the right to use the chosen location.

You are responsible for the conduct of your gathering and for the safety of those who attend, to the extent anyone reasonably can be in a public space. You agree to indemnify Peace Mob for claims arising out of your gatherings, as described under Indemnification.

Peace Mob may remove gatherings or hosts, or pause or revoke host status, at our sole discretion.

Attending gatherings — assumption of risk

You attend gatherings entirely at your own risk.Gatherings happen in public spaces, in person, among people you may not know. They can involve travel, the outdoors and weather, physical activity, and contact with strangers and members of the public. Peace Mob does not organize, supervise, control, attend, or take responsibility for any gathering or for anyone's conduct there.

You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks connected with finding, traveling to, attending, and participating in a gathering — including risks of personal injury, illness, emotional harm, death, property damage or loss, and the acts or omissions of hosts, other attendees, and third parties — whether those risks are foreseeable or not. Use your own judgment about what is safe for you, and don't participate in any activity beyond your ability.

Interacting with other people

Peace Mob connects you with other people. While we review host applications and may act on reports, we do not conduct criminal background checks or verify the identity of hosts, attendees, or members, and we make no representation about any user's conduct, background, or suitability. We do not guarantee that anyone is who they claim to be, or that any gathering is safe.

You are responsible for your own interactions and safety. Take the same precautions you would when meeting anyone new in person: meet in public, tell someone where you're going, and trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave. If you encounter behavior that violates these Terms or the Peace Mob Guidelines, please report it.

Emergencies

Peace Mob is not an emergency service and cannot help in an emergency. If you or someone else is in danger or needs urgent help, contact your local emergency services (911 in the United States) right away.

Content you submit

You retain ownership of content you post — event descriptions, location notes, your profile (display name, bio, photo), offerings, and messages — but grant Peace Mob a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate and promote the platform. You represent that you have the rights to the content you post and that it doesn't violate these Terms or anyone's rights.

Peace Mob has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Don't post content that's illegal, harassing, hateful, deceptive, infringing, or that violates the Peace Mob rules (no commercial activity, no recruitment, no divisive content). When objectionable content or abusive behavior is reported, we aim to act promptly — typically within 24 hours — by removing the content and suspending or permanently removing the user responsible.

Messaging other members

Peace Mob lets members send direct messages to one another. Use messaging respectfully. Don't use it to harass, spam, deceive, or send unwanted commercial or recruiting messages. You can block any member to stop them from messaging you, and adjust who can message you in your settings.

Reporting

If you come across a gathering, host, or member that violates these terms or the Peace Mob Guidelines, you can report it from the gathering's page or through our contact form. We review reports and may remove content or accounts at our discretion.

Copyright and DMCA notices

Peace Mob respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content posted on Peace Mob infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to our designated agent with the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or person authorized to act on their behalf).
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (a URL is best).
  • Your contact information — name, address, phone, email.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

Designated Agent:
DMCA Designated Agent, Tea Tribe LLC
189 Ellsworth St
San Francisco, CA 94110
Email: dmca@peacemob.org

Counter-notice. If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same designated agent with: your signature, identification of the material and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the Northern District of California.

Repeat infringers. Accounts that repeatedly post infringing content will be terminated.

Termination

You can stop using Peace Mob at any time and may delete your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or the Peace Mob rules, or to protect the community or the platform. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including the license you grant, the disclaimers, release, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute-resolution provisions — will survive.

Disclaimers

The platform and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that listings or other users' information are accurate, or that any gathering will take place, be safe, or meet your expectations. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Release and waiver of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and forever discharge Tea Tribe LLC and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees), known or unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with: any gathering you host or attend; your interactions or disputes with hosts, attendees, or other users, whether online or in person; content posted by you or others; and your use of the platform.

This release applies whether a claim is based on the act or omission of a Released Party or of any other person. If you are a host, this release is in addition to the responsibilities you accept when you apply to host.

Waiver of California Civil Code Section 1542.Because this release covers unknown claims, you expressly waive the protections of California Civil Code Section 1542, and any similar law of any jurisdiction, which reads: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release, and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.”

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Released Parties will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or for personal injury or property damage, arising out of or related to your use of the platform or any gathering, even if we've been advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the platform will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100.00) — Peace Mob is free to use, so this reflects the limited nature of the service. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you, and nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: any gathering you host or attend; your content; your use of the platform; your violation of these Terms or any law; or your violation of the rights of any other person or entity.

Dispute resolution and arbitration

Please read this section carefully — it affects how disputes are resolved and limits your right to go to court or participate in a class action.

Informal resolution first. If you have a dispute with us, contact us at legal@peacemob.org and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. Most concerns can be settled this way.

Binding arbitration. If we can't resolve a dispute informally, you and Tea Tribe LLC agree to resolve it through final and binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court — except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual-property or unauthorized-access claims.

Class-action waiver. Disputes will be arbitrated only on an individual basis. You and Tea Tribe LLC waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, or representative action.

30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing legal@peacemob.org with your name and a statement that you opt out. Opting out won't affect any other part of these Terms.

Governing law and venue. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. For any dispute not subject to arbitration, you and Tea Tribe LLC agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.

General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Peace Mob Guidelines, are the entire agreement between you and us about the platform. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to an affiliate or successor.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date above and may notify you by email or a notice on the site. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms.
